If Claude built you an HTML page and you want someone else to see it, copy the HTML code and turn it into a link. A link opens in any browser, so the other person does not need a Claude account, a code editor or any setup.
Here is how to do it in a few minutes, what to check first, and what to do when the page has more than one file.
Why sharing is the hard part
Claude and other AI tools are good at writing a complete page. The awkward step comes after. The page lives inside your chat, and a chat is not a public web page.
At the time of writing, Claude's help page on artifacts says artifacts start private to you and points to a separate article for sharing details. The options Anthropic offers can change, so check Claude's own help pages for what is available to you today.
The method below does not depend on any of that. It works with any HTML you can copy, from Claude or from any other tool.
What you need: one file of HTML
Ask Claude for a single HTML file: all the CSS inside a <style> tag and all the JavaScript inside a <script> tag, with no separate files. You can add this line to your prompt:
Give me one complete HTML file with the CSS and JavaScript inline. No external files.
Single-file pages are easy to share because there is nothing that can go missing. If your page needs images, ask for inline SVG shapes or full https:// image links.
The steps
- Copy the code. In Claude, open the page and use the copy option for the code. The help page says you can view the code and copy the content from the panel.
- Check it once. Paste it into the HTML viewer to see that it looks right before you send it.
- Make the link. Open DropMyPage and choose Paste HTML, paste your code, and tap Create link. You can also save the code as a
.htmlfile and use Upload file. - Send it. Copy the link, or tap the WhatsApp button, or use the QR code.
On the free plan you do not need an account. Files can be up to 5 MB and the link works for 7 days.
Before you share: a quick checklist
- Open it on your phone. Most people will open your link on a phone. Check that the text is readable and nothing is cut off.
- Remove private details. AI pages sometimes contain placeholder names, emails or notes. Search for them before you share.
- Check the links inside. Buttons that point to
#orexample.comdo nothing useful. Ask Claude to fix them. - Test the interactive parts. If the page has a calculator, a form or a game, try it. Some features, such as saving data, will not work the same way on a shared page.
- Remember who can open it. Anyone with the link can see the page. Do not share anything private.
What if Claude gave you several files?
Sometimes Claude splits a project into index.html, style.css and script.js. A one-file tool cannot follow links to the other files, so the page will look unstyled and broken.
The simple fix is to ask Claude to merge them:
Combine index.html, style.css and script.js into one HTML file with the CSS and JavaScript inline.
Then copy that version. For a larger site with many pages, use a static hosting service instead. See how to host an HTML page without GitHub.
Common problems
- The page looks plain or has no styling. The CSS was in a separate file. Ask Claude to put it in a
<style>tag. - Images are missing. They were separate files or local paths. Use inline SVG or full
https://links. - A feature does not work. It may rely on something that only exists in the chat window. Test it in the viewer first.
- The link stopped working. Free links last 7 days. For a link that stays up, use a permanent link.
How long should the link last?
If you are sending a page for a quick look this week, the free 7-day link is enough.
If you want the same address to keep working, for example in a portfolio or a message to a client you will talk to again, use a permanent link. That is a Pro feature on DropMyPage (Monthly $9.99, Yearly $47.99, or Lifetime $59). With Pro you can also replace the page and keep the same link and QR code. Features and prices can change, so check the pricing section.
Other ways to share
You can also paste the code into a static hosting service, or save the page and email it. Email does not reliably work for HTML pages. See how to send an HTML file by email for why a link is often better.

FAQ
Does the other person need a Claude account?
Not if you share it as a link. They only need a browser.
Can I share it on WhatsApp?
Yes. Send the link, or use the WhatsApp button after you create it.
Does this work with ChatGPT and other tools?
Yes. Any tool that gives you HTML code works the same way: copy the code and turn it into a link.
Is it free?
Yes, for a link that lasts 7 days. Permanent links are on the Pro plan.
